Writing cabin

Have you ever read Omnivore’s Dilemma?  Such a great book and what a commentary on the modern way we eat.  It made me want to start a Polyface Farm, well, that has always been the idea but we just are new to farming.  Anyhow, apparently this is where Michael Pollan writes, how bucolic. This is excerpted via Apartment Therapy, via Michal Pollan himself (also the pictures are from Mr. Pollan as well).

“Michael Pollan’s book A Place Of My Own: The Architecture of Daydreams is the story of how he built a tiny writing hut for himself in the woods behind his Connecticut house. As he writes on the first page, “Is there anybody who hasn’t at one time or another wished for such a place, hasn’t turned those soft words over until they’d assumed a habitable shape? What they propose, to anyone who admits them into the space of a daydream, is a place of solitude a few steps off the beaten track of everyday life.”‘

Now the cynical side of me says, hey why didn’t I write a book about building my house or even the N Shack…. I could make millions!!!!

Cute huh?  Also, I have deleted the other blog, I’m just too lazy to keep up two, so now there will be house pics back here.  Soon there will be a whole whack load of N Shack pictures!
